Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013

I’m so pumped for 2013! 2012 was a BIG time growing year for me. It was full of risk. The risk to follow my dream and move to San Diego, the risk to move alone, the risk to move without a job, the risk of moving far away from my family, the list could go on. All I know, is the risk has paid off so far :)

“Only those who are willing to risk going too far, can find out how far one can really go.” – T.S Eliot

I love taking risks…in love, life, career, and of course triathlon. They either turn out to be great learning experiences, great adventures, or great rewards. Either way, I’ve always been one to take risks instead of playing it safe, and this year will be no different.

I’m not huge on resolutions, BUT, I LOVE to hit the reset button, and start fresh. There’s something refreshing about a new year. It’s full of unknowns and new adventures, which can be scary, but also really exciting. I’m excited to start fresh in 2013. A new year for love, life, and lots of laughter. To make new friends and cherish the old, to sing in the shower more, laugh often, travel, and give as often and as much as I can.

I can’t wait for a new season, to start fresh, with new goals, and a NEW COACH! I’m excited to announce that Beth Gerdes Walsh (www.reveendurance.com, bethwalshracing.com, californiatraining.blogspot.com) will be coaching me this year, and I’m excited to have her experience and love of triathlon guide me this season. I have a lot of big goals and dreams in this sport, and I’m going to work my butt off to achieve them.

Cheers to 2013!

  1. That reset button is awesome! But in this case, you reset to a completely different starting point, which has got to be so exciting! Best of luck!!
